Manoeuvring the vehicle
To ma noeuvre the vehic le back an d f orth
during attempts to park or in garage
entran ces, the vehicle's cre eping move me nt
can be utilized by releasing the brake pedal.
Never a ctuate ac celerator and brake pedals
simultaneously.

Control indicator A illuminates when the
ignition is switched on. If it does not go off
after st artin g or comes on wh ilst dr ivin g, t he re
is a fa ult in th e a utomatic tran smission o r th e
engine electronic s.
In vehicles with check control 3, the warning
"Automatic Gearbox" appears in the display
in the event of a fault; see pa ge 41.
The transmission no longer shifts
automatically.
Vehicles with petrol en gine
Driving can be continued. Second gear is not
availa ble:
1 = 1st gear
2 = 3rd gear
3 = 4th gear
D = 4t h gea r
N = Ne ut ra l po s i tio n
R = Reve rse gear
P = Park position
To have the f ault rectifie d, consu lt a Va uxh all
Dealership. The system's integral self-
diagnosis facility allows faults to be quickly
remedied.
