New tyres should be fitted in pairs, or better
still in sets. Make sure that both tyres on an
ax le are
z the same size
z the same design
z the same make
z and have the same trea d pa ttern.
Fit dire ctiona l tyres su ch th at th ey roll in th e
direction of travel. The rolling direction is
indicated by a symbol (e.g. an arrow) on the
sidewall.
Tyres fitted opposing the rolling direction (e.g.
wh en a tyre is c hanged) should be refitted as
soon as possible. This is the only way to
benefit fully from the design properties of the
tyres.
Use of unsuitable tyres or wheels may lead
to accidents and render the vehicle
unroadworthy.
Have the tyres changed by a Vauxhall
Dealership, who will be familiar with the
requirements of the law as regards
disposal of tyres and can thus help to
protec t the environment and your health.
