Roof Racks,

Caravan and

Trailer Towing

For safety reasons and to avoid damaging the

roof, use only the Vauxhall roof rack system

released by Va uxhall for the Omega f rom

January 1994 onwards, which is available

from any Vauxh all Dealership.

Towing equipment 3

Installa tion of towing equipment should be

carrie d out by a Vauxhall De alership, who c an

inform you about possible in creases in the

caravan/trailer load. The Vauxhall Dea lership

will also be in possession of specifications

concerning installation as well as any

necessary modifica tions to the vehicle

regarding the cooling system or other

fea tures.

Towing equipment with removable

couplin g bal l bar

The coupling ball bar is stored in the luggage

compartment; see page 170.

Fitting the coupling ball bar

Remove the protective c ap from t he cou pling

ball bar by pulling it downwards; see

illustrations. Stow the protective cap in the

luggage compa rtment.

If the locking button on the lef t-hand side of

the coupling ball bar is projecting visibly:

press locking button and turn knob clockwise

until locking button engages – see page 169,
