Be lt t ensioners
The front seat belt system incorporates belt
tensioners. I n the event of a h ead-on or tail-
end collision, depending on the seve rity of the
ac cide nt, the be lt buckles are pulle d
downwards; the diagonal and lap belts are
instantaneously tightened.
Actuation of belt tensioners
is indic ated by the control indica tor v
Actuation may also be indicated by yellow
tab s o n th e belt bu ckles.
Once the belt tensioners have been actuated,
they must be replace d by a Vauxha ll
De alership.
The seat belts re ma in fully operat ional even
wh en the belt tensioners have bee n actuate d.
