Drive Control Systems
Traction Control system (TC) 3
Th e T C (Tra cti o n Control) system 3 prevents
the driving wheels from spinning, irrespective
of the road condition and tyre grip.
The system monitors the rotational speed of
all wheels. As soon as at least one driving
whee l starts to spin, the en gine output is
re duced (the sound of the en gine changes)
and the spinning wheel is braked. This
improves the ve hicle's dire ctional control and
driving power, particularly on snow and ice as
well as on wet or slippery roads.
The TC is re ady for operat ion as soon as the
ignition is switched on and the control
in dic ato r = goes out.
When the TC is operating, = flashes.
The vehicle is now in a critical situation; the
TC allows you to keep control of the vehicle
and reminds you to match your speed to the
road conditions.
Do not le t this spec ia l safety f eature tempt
you into taking risks when driving.
Traf fic sa fety ca n only be a ch ie ved by
adopting a responsible driving style.
